Our QLD team recently fitted a visual “low oil alert” to a Torque Titan LHD. A CUBEx Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) light is triggered to flash red to draw attention to the low oil level and the need to stop the machine to check for potential leaks.
When a loader is in service, a hose may be damaged, have a leaking hose joint, coupling or PTO, causing the hydraulic oil to reach a critical low level. If the oil runs out, the hydraulic pump is damaged through cavitation requiring a costly and time-consuming replacement.
With its red flashing LED light, the Nautitech® visual “low oil alert” is impossible to ignore. Another great application for our CUBEx I.S. lights!
