While these marker bands are not always visible to the naked eye, the Nautitech® Thermal Camera can identify these reference points for optimum positioning of the shearer for maximum coal extraction.
Utilising ONVIF data compression, data transferred from the thermal camera using the Spitfire® BPLM can be used to adjust vertical positioning of the shearer for automated operation, to maximise productivity, reduce operator risk, and reduce damage to shearer picks.
