The FIRST controllable, Intrinsically Safe (IS) light in Australia, has so many different applications in underground mining! Use it as a floodlight, area light driving light, traffic (or mode) light, as emergency or hazard lighting powered by UPS, triggered lighting for GO | NO-GO zones and bank light for shafts and tunnels.
With a “pigtail” cable and Amphenol plug for easy connect and disconnect, this IEC 60079-28 compliant light is certified for illumination in Group I, IIB and IIIB. These versatile and robust IS Lights have been proven time and again in the field for underground mining applications including Longwall, Development, RTVs and area lighting.
The CUBEx lighting solution by NAUTITECH® can typically power up 15 x IS Lights on a Continuous Miner and 10 x IS Lights on Shuttle Cars, using just one externally mounted Power Supply Module. This system is scalable and can power up to 32 lights from one Power Supply, as needed.
Extended Code-D schedules and lower power consumption as little as 300 mA at 12VDC, dramatically reduces compliance and running costs. Damage to a CUBEx IS Light does not constitute HPI (High Potential Incident).
